Soviet unions’ Vake was a place where the wealthiest people, both the intellectual, social and political elite lived. After its dissolution, Vake lost its status as a residence of the political and intellectual elite, now it’s just the place with higher-end cafes and restaurants. But the essence of the elite living here is still visible. It’s a fancy district that consists of many neighborhoods but most important from the industrial point are Bagebi and Tskneti.
