Mtatsminda is one of the ten districts in the capital of Georgia – Tbilisi. The district is located almost in the center of the city. It covers Vera, Mtatsminda, Okrokana, Sololaki neighborhoods and small villages such as Kiketi, Kojori, Kveseti, Tabakhmela, Shindisi and Tsavkisi. All those villages stand out with their recreational characteristics.
Mtatsminda district name is connected to one of the thirteen Assyrian fathers, Daviti, who lived on the mountain near the current district in the 6th century. That is why the district was called Mtatsminda – the holy mountain.
