Situated in the southeast part of Tbilisi, Vera is one of the oldest neighborhoods. It is located on the right bank of the river Vere. Not surprisingly, the river name was the reason the neighborhood was called Vera. Vera also covers micro neighborhood between Varaziskhevi and Nikoladze streets called Pikris Gora.
Vera is considered to be a vintage-style neighborhood with old houses, hidden gardens and lots of interesting bars, cafes and boutiques.
Vera neighborhood information can be found in 13century manuscripts. But numismatic materials found there proves that this place had been inhabited a lot earlier. Important trade routes used to cross Vera at that time. Vera started developing rapidly at the end of the 19th century and now it is a central location in Tbilisi.
From the investment perspective, Vera is one of the best places for real estate investors as it is a high demanding neighborhood for living as well as for renting commercial space. As the houses are usually quite old there, the prices are not too high.
Vera is considered to be the best place for all fashion events. Vera neighborhood is located in the central part of Tbilisi. As the neighborhood is close to Old Tbilisi as well as Vake and Saburtalo neighborhoods, you can easily go to many directions. Public transport is always accessible there. You can take buses – 6, 9, 37, 42, 46, 78, 87, 88, 150 or minibuses. Besides, Rustaveli Metro Station is within 10 minutes walking distance from Vera neighborhood.
